Hanworth Church

The Parish of Hanworth has two churches, one in Hanworth Village and one in Gunton Park.  St Bartholomew’s Church is mainly from the 14th century, butit  incorporates Saxon stonework on the north chancel wall, suggesting a much older building. St. Bartholomew’s holds two services each month.  The second church in the Hanworth Parish is St Andrew’s which is an 18th century church found in Gunton Park. This is the only surviving Robert Adam’s building in Norfolk, and the only complete Adam’s church in the country. Although Gunton Park is private, access is available to view the church. St Andrew’s is in the hands of the Churches Conservation Trust and three services are held each year at Easter, Harvest and Christmas.  These two churches form part of the Roughton Benefice and more information can be found on the website: https://roughtonbenefice.uk
